Everyone Needs a Tribe
From the beginning of the world it was not good for man and woman to be alone. Opposite of the lone wolf, ‘pull yourself up by the bootstraps’, ‘you have to ascend the mountain by yourself’ mentality…we believe that we cannot become all that God has intended us to be without each other. Simply put, you were created to be a part of a tribe. A group of people you opt-into in order to do life with.
We won’t fully agree with each other on every aspect of our lives. We won’t always like the same food, or the same music. We won’t vacation to the same places, or always live in the same neighborhoods. But we can prioritize a place where we walk across the room and embrace each other for who God is forming us to be as a spiritual family.
In the midst of the isolated, insulated, loneliest generation this world has ever seen stands the church. The church is not a building, it’s made up of people like you and me who intentionally move towards each other in order to lock arms and walk this road called life together. The church will never be perfect this side of eternity, but is also not supposed to be abandoned. Together, we can use our gifts, and share our stories in order to get as close as possible to what Jesus dreamed it to be.
You are I are designed to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We cannot fully follow Jesus all on our lonesome. Join us as we do our very best to make the most of the full life Jesus promised us.
