In many ways, this is a coming home for our family.
Evan grew up in Grand Rapids, and Mel spent her college years here. We love this city, understand its culture, and are passionate about helping people become fully devoted disciples of Jesus so the Church can reach those who feel far from God.
We are convinced that the best is yet to come.
This call to plant a church has been a dream for both of us that we finally feel like God is giving us a green light for. We cannot wait to see what God has in store.
We believe that this call to plant a church in Walker, MI is a call on our whole family. Our girls can't wait to get in on the act.
As a family we're incredibly close, we have a lot of fun, and are bought in to the idea of creating a place together where other people can belong.
Last year was a big one for us as we hit a decade in marriage and in ministry.
Evan has primarily served in two multi-site church settings over the last ten years, first at Heartland Church in Fishers, IN and most recently at All Shores Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake, Ml.
